Fortis Properties is pleased to announce Delta St. John’s has received top honours and national recognition in the Delta brand franchise awards.

The Delta St. John’s Hotel and Conference Centre was recognized for its exceptional service and product offerings with first place in two award categories, Hotel of the Year, Franchise and Most Improved Guest Satisfaction.  Hotel of the Year, Franchise is given to the franchise posting the most improved scores in room revenue, guest satisfaction and revenue penetration.  The Most Improved Guest Satisfaction award recognizes the hotel with the greatest improvement year over year.

Two other Fortis Properties’ hotels, Delta Brunswick in Saint John, New Brunswick and Delta Sydney in Sydney, Nova Scotia, were also recognized for their achievements with awards in both categories.  Delta Sydney also placed in the category of Sales Team of the Year, Franchise.

Nora Duke, Vice-President of Hospitality Services with Fortis Properties, noted it is the combination of people, service excellence and quality facilities that led to these awards.  “These distinctions are very rewarding for all three of our Delta branded hotels.  We are so pleased to see our employees recognized in this way,” said Duke.  “We are particularly pleased to see Delta St. John’s lead in each category.  I think it is quite noteworthy given we are nearing the first anniversary of our 128-room expansion of that hotel.”
