The Board of Directors of Fortis Properties Corporation today announced the appointment of Mr. Jamie Roberts as Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer effective June 30, 2008.  His appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Neal J. Jackman.

Mr. Roberts has over 20 years in the finance and accounting fields and has worked within the Fortis Group of Companies since 2004, most recently as Treasurer with Newfoundland Power Inc.  He has held executive financial roles with CHC Helicopter and Persona Inc.  Mr. Roberts is a Chartered Accountant and a graduate of Memorial University’s Faculty of Business Administration.
