Fortis Properties is pleased to announce that its hotel in Corner Brook, Newfoundland & Labrador will now be branded as a Greenwood Inn & Suites. Earlier this year the Company acquired three Greenwood properties in Western Canada and has decided to extend use of this brand to the Corner Brook location.
Following a review of branding options, Fortis Properties has decided not to renew its Holiday Inn license and has begun the process of converting the hotel to a Greenwood Inn & Suites effective December 15, 2005.
“The decision to expand upon the use of the Greenwood Inn & Suites brand will improve flexibility in how we service our guests and invest in improvements at the hotel,” said Nora Duke, Vice President, Hospitality Services with Fortis Properties. “The brand transition process will incorporate a number of renovations and improvements to the hotel, including the introduction of a business floor concept featuring upgraded rooms and amenities.
Upgrades to the hotel are already underway and a new and exciting frequent traveler’s reward program, “Perks” will soon be introduced. This new rewards program will provide guests with instant discounts to their hotel bill, complimentary stays across the Fortis group of hotels as well as free upgrades. The hotel program will also continue to be affiliated with aeroplan reward points.
