Oriental Spicy Shrimp Recipe
| 6 pcs 16/20 | Large Shrimp or Prawns |
| 2 tb oil | Oil |
| 3 tb | Tangy Thai Sauce |
| 4 dash | Worcestershire Sauce |
| 2 tb | Soy Sauce |
| 3 tb | Sesame Seed Oil |
| 3 dash | Tabasco |
| 1 sprig | Green Onion |
| 50g or 2oz | Slice Thin White Onion |
| Fresh Ginger Root Slice Thin White Onion |
| Fresh Crush Garlic |
Method:
Clean and peel shrimp, leaving end of tail intact if you wish and remove vein. Wash and pat dry. Stir fry white onion and ginger together for 1 minute in hot oil, add shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes. Add remaining ingredients to wok and cook for 30 seconds.
Served with Deep Fried Leeks and Jasmine Scented Rice and garnished with Sliced Green Onionn.
Deep Fried Leeks
Method:
Cut leeks in two length wise, flip over and cut on a bias 1/4 inch thick, place in water, let submerge to the top then agitate until all sand falls to the bottom; use a spider to remove leeks from water. Repeat steps until free of sand.
Add corn starch to leeks and coat completely, then deep-fry until golden brown. Place on towel to remove excess oil.
