The Moose River facility is located on the Moose River in the Town of Lyonsdale in Lewis County, New York.  Moose River consists of a concrete diversion dam, an intake structure, tunnel, pressurized air surge chamber, powerhouse with one 12.5 MW generating unit, tailrace channel and switchyard.

Recreational facilities at Moose River include a boat launch, hiking trail, picnic area, historical displays and shelter, and seasonal whitewater releases for kayaking and rafting.
